[IAOTTOLS Podcast] S3E01 – Of Anniversaries, Mercato, and Dutch Ovens…

After something of a hiatus, the IAOTTOLS-crew (this time consisting of Aaron, Marco, John, and Lars) reunited last week in the first pod of the new season (!) to the one-year anniversary of JuventiKNOWS.com, as well as the recent developments around the club.

First, the guys first go over some of their favorite posts on the site, a theme which rapidly turns into something of a culinary odyssey over Mike and John’s most delicious – yet foul-looking – recipes of the TeamEATS series!

Still salivating, attention is turned to Juve’s Summer mercato investments, which may or may not leave us with a crowded midfield – and, to the surprise of most, still with Simone Padoin. Must be his TV-presenting skills…

Inevitably, the question of strikers comes up, and if John and Lars were salivating before, the possible arrival of Edinson Cavani, however unlikely it may be, makes veritable streams pour down their jaws. Jovetic seems to be liked by all, while Robin van Persie is discussed in quite some detail, with Aaron warming to him and others being more skeptical, especially because of his “Dutchness” (the very person alienated by RvP’s Oranje background is then also revealed to be unfamiliar with the deeper meaning of the term “Dutch Oven”).

Finally, the upcoming UEFA Champions League is discussed, with Marco being the most balanced and sensible of the lot (what?), while we end with a bit on Conte’s involvement in the ongoing CalcioScommesse trials and some clarification on what are the rather muddy accusations.
