INTERNATIONAL BREAK Blues – The Shoutbox – By Fans. For Fans.

Blues, why you worry me? Why do you stay so long? You came to me yesterday and you stayed the whole night long…

It’s that awkward time of the month again; every year we patiently wait through July and August for the start of another new season, only to be interrupted after the first few weeks.

For this week’s Shoutbox, let’s take a look at the FIFA International Calendar that has our various International players in action:

Denmark
Call-ups: no Juventus Players selected by Denmark
Matches: Denmark vs. Czech Republic (September 8)

I know what you’re thinking: Why wasn’t Nicklas Bendtner called-up by Denmark?

Because on June 13 during the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament, the forward scored twice in Denmark’s 3–2 defeat to Portugal in the second group match and, to celebrate, showed the top band of his underwear which read “Paddy Power” (the logo of a betting company).

UEFA forbids any kit sponsors for the Euro Cup tournament, and charged Bendtner with improper conduct for revealing an unofficial sponsor’s name on his underwear. The player was banned for one 2014 World Cup qualifying match and fined €100,000. It’s all good though, because Paddy Power later gave Bendtner the money to pay the fine, a separate payment from the money he was initially paid.

Yeah I know: LoL.
