Juventus North-American Tour 2011

UPDATE: For JuventiKnows.com’s exclusive coverage of Juve’s North-American Tour, including match reviews, paparazzi photos, and stalker videos, click here.

Continuing the European trend of bringing quality football where it’s most needed (*cough* MLS *cough*) as well truckloads of money into club coffers (judging by ticket prices), Juventus’s American tour officially started a few days ago. The Bianconeri will spend 9 intense days consisting of training sessions, games, and special events between the U.S.A. and Canada, including three high-profile friendly matches vs. Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon (Toronto, Canada) and Mexican clubs Club América (NYC) and Chivas Guadalajara (Raleigh, NC).

If you’re lucky enough to be living on the East coast, do seize the opportunity to go say hello and show your love to Del Piero & friends. I have a feeling THIS is a Juventus tour that deserves your hard-earned money (ticket prices range from $40 to $400), very much unlike the one last year (which coincidentally also stopped in New York and Toronto, but with very disappointing results for everyone ON and OFF the field).

Oh by the way: if you’re in Toronto area, make sure you hook up with other fellow Juventini for a pre-game beer!! Details set up by Aaron here.

Do you like that beautiful Brooklyn-by-night image with the Juventus logo? It’s just one of the many wallpapers specifically designed for the American tour by Juventus.com. Indeed, on Juventus’ official website a new section has been specifically opened for our lads’ overseas adventures (complete in both English and Italian). The section’s appropriately called “Tour 2011”, and can be accessed from the left-hand menu “On the Pitch” (“In campo” in the Italian version).

For all the latest news and information about the tour (including plans, matches, and initiatives) make sure to pay them a visit. And get yourself these very cool wallpapers!

Can’t wait for my boys to visit me in my own backyard!  I grew up in Flushing, New York (where CitiField is located) never dreaming that Juventus would actually visit and play a match in my neighborhood. #EUPHORIA!

MARCO just one question, do you think we could have gotten 1-3 million for TIAGO instead of having to take a LOST of 2.8 million due to depreciation as reported on juventus.com. He was signed him for 13 million!!! One from SECCO’s bag of misses……touche

    • http://www.mcalcio.com Marco P.

The Tiago story has just been going on for so fu**ing long, I think both parties decided it was in their mutual interest to call it quits. I mean Tiago never managed to play well with us and nothing this year was going to change that. Other clubs knew it, especially Atlético Madrid. They played the waiting game and it worked: now they got the asshole for free.

I normally don’t wish ill on people, but I just hope he… ugh.

How much will this tour generate for JUVE?

Can’t wait for Juve to come to Toronto :D
Anyone knows if the training session will be open to fans or close?

And will they be meeting fans anytime during their visit? Four Seasons is 1 minute walking from my institute and if they’ll be meeting fans, i will definitely seize the opportunity.

For those Juventini living in Toronto, we’ve organized a pre-game meet up. Details here!

Zuliani: Conte is The top player of the training camp, Marotta under observation. and on Farsopoli ..

    The
world number one of bianconeri fans in the media, got back on the pages
of Tuttojuve.com and in exclusive answers to a lengthy interview on
the training camp of Bardonecchia, on the transfermarket, the prospects
of the new season of Antonio Conte and about farsopoli.

New beginning, we start from the past, Antonio Conte, first impressions.

    Conte has
been without doubt the top player of the training camp bianconero. The
crowd went nuts for his candor, for his attention to detail of every
training session and, of course, for the juventinita he breathes every
corner with his return. He has history on his side and can afford to
rebuke or critical dialogue with players who otherwise would not
    tolerate this situation.

    Let’s
talk of training camp: Diary of Bardonecchia, or Pardonecchia (so we
read on your facebook page) what you liked best and what not?

    I
liked the logistics of the city that is big enough and allowed us to
work calmly and with adequate space, the cool weather but not too much
(except for the hail of mid-week). For the same reason, to be honest, it
was more warm Pinzolo enclosing hotel, restaurants and field reference
in a handkerchief and then contact with the fans was more fiery.

    rest is here:

Can’t wait for this. I went to the Juve vs Red Bulls match last year in Jersey. Was decent, but looking forward to a better roster this year. Plus, last year I had to see Amauri warm up on the sidelines. This year’s match will be better already. Stubhub has alot of tickets available as well. Mine were just confirmed so they’re on their way. Section 402 at Citi Field.

I can’t wait to watch Del Piero lead Juventus out on the field..it has always been my dream to see that.

  • bort

pretty pumped to watch them in raleigh… i think it will be a pro chivas crowd, but it will still be so fun!

After watching the game on Saturday and remembering last season I find that teams pressure us up the field because of our technical frailties (our inability to keep the ball) resorting in the long ball game. I would like to see us get a technical midfielder who can take on and beat 2-3 persons and then lay a pass (the best form of defense is to attack…..e.g BARCA). Persons never use to rush ZIZOU, they backed off and gave him the pass. It looks bad when we can’t keep the ball against anyone. Get that “QUALITY” hopefully (midfielder) you have been talking about MAROTTA and put him with PIRLO………..pleaseeeeee

I read at myp2p there will be a friendly match of Juventus vs Jordan tonight (7:00 PM CET). Is this true? It’s unfortunate because we can’t see Vidal until they are back from this US-Canada Tour.

    • http://www.mcalcio.com Marco P.

Must have been a mistake Refly. There’s no such friendly scheduled. Juve are in NYC right now and are playing vs. Club America tomorrow.
