PotD: Photos from Inter’s Game – Grudge Week Ends On A Halloween High

Trick or Treat? We here at JuventiKnows.com are done with Inter Milan’s tricks, as shown on Saturday when Juve traveled to Milan to throw eggs at their door & TP their house.

If you haven’t done so, make sure to read our full match recap, and check out the snapshots below from Juventus’s MONSTER-MASH over the villainous Inter Milan Saturday night.

(DISCLAIMER: JuventiKnows.com does not condone acts of vandalism as proper ways to celebrate Halloween… unless it’s directed towards Inter fans. Give ‘em hell.)

Pre-match choreography by the Inter fans: a huge banner that read
“I don’t steal the League and I’ve never been in Serie B”.
The irony and ignorance behind that sentence is almost too much to bear.
One could almost pity the Interisti if they weren’t such complete idiots.

Also included was a disgusting banner that read
“Poor grade steel, Heysel nostalgia”
Not only tasteless but also disgraces the two Inter fans who died at that tragedy.
As a friend of this blog would say, “Banners are temporary, Class is permanent”.

On a lighter note, some Inter fans trying to motivate themselves with these really cool Mickey Mouse Club T-shirts. The José days are long fu**ing gone…

Antonio Conte clearly knows what he’s doing. No Mickey Mouse shirts, no complaining about referees, no smoke ‘n mirrors. He’s here to do his job LIKE A BOSS. And damn, it feels good to be a gangsta!!! Somebody queue the “Business Suit Montage”…

Fabio Quagliarella, Milos Krasic, Mirko Vucinic, Alessandro Del Piero casually stroll around the San Siro to add some class to the ground.
Because if JUVE don’t look good, we don’t look good.

Mirko Vucinic puts Juventus ahead 1-0, and adds insult to injury with the “can’t touch me” celebration. The only thing funnier than Chivu trying to beat someone to a ball is Chivu sitting down. Props for the “fighter-pilot” Halloween costume though.

Maicon beats Gigi Buffon at the near post (with a little deflection help) to draw level 1-1 and attempt to make the match more interesting. Sadly his post-match injury puts him out for a month and makes Inter’s path to relegation even more downhill. Che peccato!

After Pazzini’s thunderous header that beat Buffon but not the crossbar, Claudio Marchisio makes things happen on the other end of the field. He finishes off a great one-two with Matri to grab the winning goal for the 2-1 final scoreline.
Yes, Claudio can score both on and off the field.

Antonio Conte: “If you’re fired up gimme a ‘HELL YEAH’!!!”
Claudio Marchisio: “HELL YEAH!!!!”

What’s better than a “Business Suit Montage”? You know it’s coming: a “Team Hug Montage“! I have a feeling we’re going to have lots of these all season.

And last but not least, let’s not forget all the Juventini who made the trip to San Siro!!! Antonio Conte and his boys go celebrate with their fans at the end of the game!

Thankfully Inter got a 20,000 euro fine for that banner about Heysel. Some of the Juve supporters apparently made some chants that were considered racist though, so Juve got a 10,000 euro fine. I wasn’t able to hear the chants during the game. Does anybody know what was said?

    • Anonymous

Juventus got fined for fans chanting “buu buu buu” at Maicon and “You’re only a black piece of shit.”

Also for comments on Facchetti “Facchetti man of shit” and “Facchetti isn’t talking anymore.”

racism in Italy just wont go away.

Here’s a great column by La Repubblica‘s Maurizio Crosetti on Juve’s post-match celebrations Saturday:

These jumps, these hugs, these grins, these screams, these tangles of happiness painted in Bianconero. All tell a much larger tale than ‘an important match was just won’. The run of Marchisio, the hugs with Conte, the entire bench wrapped around Vucinic, the team celebration under the stands… these aren’t just pictures from the San Siro. They are the photo stills of a group of players that haven’t simply beaten an opponent, albeit an historic rival and the enemy beyond the football field… but rather fear, anger, expectation, and above all, time itself. Juventus 5, Time 0: five years is indeed how long they’ve had to wait for these screams and these embraces.

Look carefully at what lies within those Juventini faces, the lines of those mugs, and remember each and everyone of those expressions when Juve win their next Scudetto. Will it be in the Spring? Next year? Difficult, but not impossible, for there are stronger teams in the campionato (AC Milan, maybe Napoli, maybe Udinese) but none that can afford to sport certain types of faces. These faces that we saw at San Siro Saturday.

They are Polaroid pictures of rage and fury, full of the kind of satisfaction that comes deep from within, the unexplored abyss of one’s character. By reading the photos from the Meazza you are looking for Juve’s days of wrath and anticipation, from that hapless afternoon of Serie B debut, in Rimini, and the subsequent steps of the comedy (a far cry from being Divine) that ensued, even though it still was a resurgence from hell of sorts… a drive to see the stars once again.

When you win a league game at the end of October, and not a World Cup final or a Champions League final, you do not jubilate in this manner. Within Juve, there is an evident added emotional value, a fury that in the long run, may just be the difference betwen them and the others. Indeed, when Juve will sport those faces not just against Milan or Inter, but also against the likes of Bologna, Catania, or Genoa… it will truly be time for everyone else to take cover.
